What is Aadhaar Seeding?

Aadhaar seeding with your account allows you to link your Aadhaar number to receive Direct Benefit Transfers (DBT) and subsidies directly into your account.

Bharat Aadhaar Seeding Enabler (BASE)

The Bharat Aadhaar Seeding Enabler (BASE) is a National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) self-service portal that allows citizens to link, check, or change their Aadhaar mapping for Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) subsidies directly online without visiting a bank. It enables seeding, de-seeding, and shifting Aadhaar between bank accounts.

Aadhaar Seeding:

• Fresh Seeding - The process of linking your Aadhaar number to a bank account for the first time.
• Movement- with in the same bank with another account - The process of moving your Aadhaar-linked status from one bank account to another, where both accounts are held in the same bank.
• Movement- from one bank to another bank- The process of switching your Aadhaarlinked bank account to receive Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) subsidies in a different bank.

Aadhaar De-Seeding:

• The process of delinking your Aadhaar number from a specific bank account.

Check Aadhaar mapping status:

• Allows you to check which bank account is linked to your Aadhaar number for receiving government subsidies and Direct Benefit Transfers (DBT).

Check Aadhaar mapping history:

• Allows you to view the history of Aadhaar–bank account linking.

Steps to access the BASE facility:

1. Visit https://www.npci.org.in/

2. Click on the Customer tab

3. Select Bharat Aadhaar Seeding Enabler (BASE)

4. Select above mentioned services as per your requirement.
